CODE OF CONDUCT AND ETHICS POLICY

The MICPL is committed to a policy of fair dealings and integrity in the conduct of its business. This commitment is based on a fundamental belief that business should be conducted honestly, fairly, transparently, and legally. The MICPL expects all employees to share its commitment to high moral, ethical, and legal standards.

The MICPL’s Code of Conduct and Ethics (Code) is designed to underpin by the following values:

We understand that our conduct with fellow employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders affects the integrity and credibility of the Company as a whole, as well as our success. That’s why maintaining strong ethical business relationships and acting responsibly are important to us.

    The Code of Ethics also guides our employees to make decisions that are consistent, with MICPL’s core values and guiding principles.

    The Code of Ethics addresses matters that include conflicts of interest, integrity, and confidentiality of records and information, protection and use of assets, employee relations, protection of human rights, health and safety, anti-corruption laws, insider trading, compliance with laws, and reporting of unethical or illegal behavior.

    The Anti-Corruption Policy and Compliance Program reaffirms MICPL’s commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with all applicable Anti-Corruption Laws, a commitment that is embodied in MICPL’s Code of Ethics and Code of Conduct. The Policy encompasses the rules and regulations set forth by the Government of India, and by the local anti-corruption laws of all countries in which MICPL conducts business.

     

Impartiality, Confidentiality, Discriminatory, And Independent Policy

The Management of MICPL declares that MICPL will not proceed or process any activity which may compromise the impartiality, transparency, confidentiality, and independency of its operations & certification activities and may cause a conflict of interest.

MICPL,  an independent legal entity,  is established on 10th November 2022 with CIN no.  U74999HR2022PTC107617 under the government of India.

MICPL, its personnel, and technical experts (internal resource or contractual) are committed to always ensuring the integrity of its certification services and operations in a highly transparent manner. MICPL ensures that its actions are and will remain impartial in all its dealings with applicants, customers, employees, or other personnel. MICPL, its personnel, and technical experts are not involved in any type of consultancy related to its scope of certification.

MICPL shall not discriminate against anyone and provide equal opportunity for all with respect to all aspects of the certification policies and procedures adopted in the certification process. 

All information received by or available to MICPL, Its personnel, and technical experts (in whatever format) received in conducting certification activities or during dealing with any organization shall be regarded as strictly confidential and shall not be divulged to any third party without the explicit permission of the MICPL. The customer is notified in advance where MICPL is required by law or authorized by contractual regulatory agreement to release confidential information to a third party or individual concerned.

 

Financial Stability

Means by Which certification body obtains financial Support:

MICPL is a private limited company with two shareholders.

MICPL has the financial stability and resources required for its certification activities. MICPL intends to support the certification activities with funds received from its customers. These funds will be adequate for covering all required activities & operations of MICPL

CERTIFICATION PROCESS

MICPL establish a procedure, QP-14 for the certification of products as per requirements of the product certification scheme (PCS-01), technical regulations, ISO/IEC 17065, and as per requirements of ISO/IEC 17067.

MICPL follows the rule and regulations defined and updated by SASO. If there is a difference in the requirements of the scheme, protocols, and procedures documented by the MICPL with respect to the SASO technical regulations, then the updated requirement implemented by SASO will be applicable.

KSA SALEEM SCHEME

To describe the overall process to render services related to the Saudi Product Safety Program (SALEEM) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) with reference to relevant & effective Saudi Technical Regulations (STRs), introduced and enforced by Saudi Standards, Metrology, and Quality Organization (SASO).

MARKEK INTERNATIONAL CERTIFICATIONS PRIVATE LIMITED (MICPL) “KSA SALEEM Scheme, PCS-01 ” is designed to adopt certification specifications published for Saudi Product Safety Program, including approval type for Type 1a and type 3 scheme category as per ISO/IEC 17067.

Terms & Conditions For Grant, Maintain, Expand & Reduce Concerning Scope, Suspend/terminate Or Withdraw, And Renewal Of The Certification

MICPL follows the rule and regulations defined and updated by SASO. The updated guidelines, terms, and conditions published by SASO will be applicable for granting, maintaining, expanding & reducing concerning scope, suspending/terminating or withdrawing, and renewal of the certification.

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR USE OF CERTIFICATE

The defined terms & conditions for use of a certificate of conformity are an integral part of the agreement with the client and all of its provisions are binding upon signing the agreement by the parties.
  • The Certificate is only applicable for the product(s) under certification that meets the certification requirements.
  • The validity of the certificate expires on the date specified in it.
  • Use of certificate does not, under any circumstances, engage MICPL as a substitute for that of the product manufacturer.
  • In case the certificate is fabricated, MICPL will take the necessary legal action it deems appropriate in the framework of current local legislation.
  • The certificate cannot be transferred. It is not transferable, and it is unseizable.
  • In case of a merger, liquidation, or absorption of the holder/ beneficiary, all certificates of conformity expire automatically. The terms of a new certificate to be requested shall be adopted, after consulting MICPL.
  • Misused cases are considered where reference is made to the certificate including:
    • The certificate or any statement regarding the certification, or any part thereof, is used in a misleading manner(s).
    • Product for which the certificate of conformity is no longer valid.
    • Extending the reference to certificates of conformities, to products other than those certified.
    • Partial reproduction of certificate.
    • Unauthorized use of the MICPL logo or that of its accreditation body.

Process For Complaints & Appeals

Any expression of dissatisfaction with MICPL services requiring a response is managed as a complaint. Depending on the issues involved, the aspects of a complaint may be treated as an appeal or as a business dispute. Complaints about compliance or certification decisions made by MICPL are handled as appeals. All other issues involving complaints are handled as business disputes.

MICPL follows the procedure, QP-09  to address the resolution of all complaints and appeals. Information about the detailed procedure for handling complaints and appeals are available upon request.

All complaints & appeals are acknowledged by MICPL within 2 working days of receipt of the complaint. And the same will be resolved within 30 days of acknowledgment.
