What is the SASO SABER Certificate of Conformity?
Any imported items into Saudi Arabia must be accompanied by the necessary export documentation, specifically a SASO Certificate of Conformity, in order to pass through customs. The product in question has been reviewed and confirmed to meet the quality and safety standards set by the Saudi government, as attested to by this document, which attests to that fact. For the exported goods, the SASO certification serves as a passport for customs clearance. Even if a SASO has been issued, Saudi Arabian customs officials reserve the right to test and inspect an imported commodity more thoroughly once it has entered the country.
